Hair
If it wasn't so frustrating, it would be funny. My hair used to be pretty straight with a little wave. But, I had it cut in the hospital because it was driving me nuts when I had to lay down most of the day. Now it is growing back curly and sticking out all over the place no matter what I try to do with it....which is limited with only my left hand. My friend tells me that hers is pretty normal (she also had several strokes) so I must just be odd. People who have had chemo have had their hair grow back curly but this is just plain odd.

Hmm... Have you had it styled since your hospital cut? Does gel help?
ReplyDeleteI had it trimmed once, but it has a mind of its own. I've tried gel. I also tried hairspray and mouse. I guess I am just gonna have to wait until it grows out...just wish it grew faster.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it is the meds. My mom didn't have chemo, but she's taken a lot of different meds for some crazy stuff in the last few years. Her hair stylist can always tell her when she's changed medicines.
ReplyDeleteI have curly hair now, too! Was just looking at pics of me from about five years ago, and I can't believe the difference. I have found that using product helps tame the frizz and define the curls. Whoa, don't I sound like a commercial. :) I just apply when it is damp and I don't have to hardly comb it. You might not have the dexterity to do this now, but keep it in mind. You might end up liking the curls!
ReplyDeleteBet you are cute as a button with curls...watch what ya wish for growing up!
ReplyDeleteMiss all of you...please tell kids we love and miss them. Please stop being a stranger...xoxoxoxoxo
